The Basic Assessment and Support in Critical Care Course has become the standard in Ireland and participation is strongly advised for all trainees regardless of level. Topics include recognition of critical illness, resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, transport and data interpretation. The course is delivered over two days through a series of didactic lectures and hands-on workstations.
